Japanese culture is front and center in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Everything from bosses to Wolf's skill tree features classic Japanese lore. The setting is a fictional place in Japan, but many elements of the story and environment are taken from real the real Sengoku period in Japanese history. Roleplaying elements are also strong in this game. Expect things like leveling up, upgrading equipment, and earning different abilities. All in all, these pieces create a truly fleshed out picture.
Something you might immediately notice about Sekiro is the way that its levels flow. An item you obtain early in the game lets Wolf jump impressively high, creating a vertical aspect that sets it apart. As a result, there are some unique shots that you don't usually see in games.

Furthermore, there is a completely original soundtrack. The swell of strings, booming of brass, and whirl of woodwinds create background music that will make you feel like you're in ancient Japan among the shinobi and samurai.
The completely immersive graphics and audio are just another reason Sekiro is a must-play.
Wolf is a ninja, so many skills you'll get will reflect the stealthy nature of his career. Starting, Wolf is equipped with his blade and his wits. Combat is a little bit different than many other games.
Parrying and other swordwork are the core of fighting and combat.
Instead of health, you work to exhaust an enemy's balance and posture. Wait for the perfect opportunity, then execute a killing blow. Parrying and other swordwork are the core of fighting and combat. However, exploring or completing the story unlocks other prosthetic tools, like the grappling hook and shinobi firecracker.
Learn the different strengths and weaknesses of enemies while guiding Wolf's story, as Sekiro has several potential endings. There are also side quests and tons of exploration opportunities.
The road to revenge is dangerous. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice delivers a story of vengeance with all the core elements of an RPG. Like Wolf, this world of ancient Japan is full of secrets and works to hide them well.
The title earned 2019's Game of the Year award because of its thoughtful combat, story, and setting. Mark it down as a must-play!
