## Someone really wants to drive you mad!
Desktop Goose is not a playable game. It acts more like an app. "Essentially, an adorable goose will pop onto the screen and mess you with you in a variety of ways." It will steal your cursor and make you fight to get it back. It will track muddle goose prints all over your desktop, obstructing your view and inconveniencing you in general. It will periodically pop up with memes that are going to distract you. It will drag windows around your screen. Wait long enough, and he will also open documents and type funny phrases.
While this is adorable, if it happens while you are in the middle of a serious project, it goes from kind of cute to extremely annoying. Make sure you disable the program before trying to do any serious work.
## Awe, it's so cute
Yeah, even if the Goose is driving you nuts, there's a certain charm to it. Clearly, we're not talking about high fidelity audio or a three-dimensional goose that will make you believe it is about to leap off the scream and maul you to death with a bright orange beak.
That being said, it would be nice if the goose was a little sharper. It goes for cuteness, but it comes off as a little rushed. Sound effects are virtually non-existent, save for the periodic HONK that will probably startle you...as it was certainly designed to do so.
## I'm in the middle of a project here!
There's no real way to "play" with the goose, so to speak. Yes, you can close windows and smash your keyboard until you get control of your computer back. Sadly, the goose generally lacks interactivity, which feels like a lost opportunity because if you could really fight back against the goose, you'd be adding a ton of fun to this experience.
## Good that game is free
The Desktop Goose is available for a download via its creator's website. It is a free program, which is good, because why on earth would you pay anyone to go out of your mind? If you are feeling generous, you can pay the developers. That's probably the right thing to do, considering that some hard work went into designing such a cleaver program.
The Desktop Goose isn't repayable, per se. In fact, it gets old after about five minutes. But isn't that sort of the point? Desktop Goose is good for a quick distraction or if you want to prank a buddy. It isn't something you'll be spending a lot of time with, but if you want a quick laugh or to piss off your friend, Desktop Goose is for you.
An adorable goose wrecks havoc on your computer by pulling off a variety of hi-jinks designed to disrupt your day.
