Classic Solitaire is the card game where you try and clear the board of a deck of cards by slotting all four suits consecutively. This electronic version allows players to play the game.

CAPTION

Classic solitaire, but online

The game plays like any other solitaire game. You try to win by placing cards in the four Foundations, sorted by suits, and starting with the Ace. There are some features for online solitaire games that this version is lacking. These include a leaderboard (to compare times against your friends) or different versions of solitaire. It does come with a Daily Goal, but that only unlocks at level nine.

Solid graphics and audio for a free game

For a free game, the graphics are solid. Gentle animations are a pleasant addition, and cards disappear with a puff of smoke when you move them to the Foundations. You can also customize the type of deck that you play with.

There is no music, but the sound effects when you move a card or slot it in a foundation add to the experience.

This game certainly won't be winning any awards for immersive graphics, but for a free game, they are very nice.

Tutorials and hints make gameplay a breeze

The game comes with a tutorial explaining how to play, and this can be helpful for new players. Many reviewers noted that older versions of the game did not come with features that should be standard to solitaire games.

A couple of these missing features are, the ability to double-tap on a card to slot it into one of the Foundations or rotating the screen and having the game change its rotation as well. Thankfully, the game has been upgraded since it was first created, and those expected features come with it. It also comes with hints that are available if you click on the "hint" button or let the game stay idle for too long.

Conclusion

The game is available for free online. Of course, there are ads involved, and those do get frustrating. Thankfully for users, the game's nature allows for virtually infinite combinations and endless replayability. The only thing that can stop you from replaying it is getting bored by the game.

TL/DR

This version of solitaire is a solid effort, providing an easy and enjoyable gameplay experience, even if it is missing some of the bells and whistles that many of these games contain.
