Microsoft has just confirmed that the Xbox and PC exclusive sequel to Ninja Theory's, 'Senua’s Saga: Hellblade’ will use Unreal Engine 5. In the Xbox Wire blog post they officially state:

"The power of Xbox Series X was first demonstrated with the unveiling of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. The team will be building the game on Unreal 5 and leveraging the power of Xbox Series X to bring the Hellblade franchise to levels never before seen. The footage shown was captured in-engine and reflects the power of Xbox Series X available to developers to deliver new universes, experiences and games in ways you have never imagined."

It is said that the new and improved engine by Epic Games paired with Unreal 5 the advanced capabilities of the new Xbox Series X console will "bring the Hellblade franchise to levels never before seen".

Since the release of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II's reveal at The Game Awards 2019, we have been blown away by the preview of what's to come. Now, having seen demo highlights of Epic's powerful Unreal Engine 5 and getting confirmation that the game will be built in on the new engine, we can expect even more stunning visuals then we've seen before.

There is no confirmed release date for Senua’s Sage: Hellblade 2 just yet. However, it is expected to be announced at the Xbox 20/20 Presentation in July as part of Summer Game Fest. Stay tuned!
